Germination: 4 – 7 days at 15 – 22ºC.
Indoors: 6 – 8 weeks before last frost. Provide warmth until germination then move to a cooler yet sunny spot or under lights. Apply Sea Magic™ from first watering.
Outdoors: Direct seed once the soil is workable.
Planting Depth: 1/2″
Spacing: Spacing seedlings 12″ apart in rows 18” apart.
Direct Seed Spacing: Sow seeds 3″ apart in rows 18″ apart . Thin seedlings to 12″.
Planting Out: Plant in well-drained fertile soil once seedlings are established and risk of frost has passed.
Fertilizing (Containers): Plant in a composty soil mix, then supplement regularly with a balanced organic fertilizer.
Watering (Containers): Water deeply as soil becomes dry to the touch. During the hot months, check daily.
Growing in Mixed Planters: Not suited to mixed planters.
Fertilizing (Garden): Plant in a garden bed amended with compost. No additional fertilizer is required.
